Beware of a Bear

Rural Ridge residents report they woke up to their garbage can bent in half and some large paw prints in their driveway. Their neighbor also had some damage to her bird feeder. They did not actually see the bear but a paw print five inches long looked very much like a bear paw print. Please be aware of this possible bear intrusion. Caution your children to watch for the bear and not go near if they see it. They don’t think there is anyway a racoon could have torn up their trash can or have that large of a paw print. Better safe than sorry.

Community Garage Sale June 12 &13, 2010

The Rural Ridge Community Garage Sale will be held June 12 & 13 from 8 AM to “noonish”. All residents are welcome to participate. Vacant Board Position Filled

Rob Serrao has been voted by the Board to fill the position left vacant by Beth Scanlon’s resignation. Rob’s term will end in December 2011. Rob was one of the first homeowners in Rural Ridge and was a member of the Architecture Committee in the past.

New Landscaper chosen, cutting to start this week

The Rural Ridge HOA Board of Directors has voted to hire a new landscaping company for the community common areas. The new landscapers are the Brickman Group. They will begin cutting the lawns this week and will cut every week on Thursdays, weather permitting.

Beth Scanlon has resigned from the board effective immediately. We are looking for someone to take over the rest of her term. Responsibilities include:

Attending monthly board meetings
Voting on member requests
Chairing one Sub-committee
Helping make your community better!
